Kinetic Dampeners are defensive systems placed under a FRAME’s thick armor. Designed to absorb and disperse incoming physical force before it can damage a FRAME’s internal structure. When struck by ballistic rounds, impacts, or high-velocity melee attacks, the dampener converts kinetic energy into controlled vibrations and heat, reducing penetration and structural shock.
This allows the FRAME to remain stable under heavy fire, preventing critical systems from being overwhelmed during close-quarters combat.
Widely used across Armored Sector battlefields, Kinetic Dampeners give pilots the precious seconds needed to reposition, counterattack, or survive encounters that would otherwise cripple lesser machines.

Built directly into module hardpoints, these systems are designed to disrupt enemy targeting, confuse guidance systems, and create precious seconds for repositioning or escape.
Unlike passive defenses, countermeasures demand timing and awareness. A poorly deployed system wastes energy and leaves the FRAME exposed. A well-timed release can turn a killing blow into a missed lock.
